Maxillofacial Melodrama

I’m scared and not because it’s spooky season. I am having surgery on Thursday and it has been a long time coming. It’s the type of surgery where I can’t eat or drink anything after midnight leading up to my appointment (not even water) and that carries it’s own set of terrors. I’m a self-professed caffeine addict; the first and last thing I consume on a daily basis is tea and depending on the day itself I may drink up to a gallon of the stuff. So I’m going to show up to the surgeon’s office with a caffeine withdrawal headache in a grumpy mood because I couldn’t eat anything and am expected to just be okay with people cutting into my face!? It’s Okay to Not Be Okay

What’s Wrong with a Little Water?

When I first started flying, I had my own personal pilot. My ex obtained his pilot’s license in the middle of our on-again-off-again relationship which meant free flights on the weekends to neighboring airports. It was fun to be able to hop on a plane and take off with no real destination in mind, no required hoops to jump through with TSA, and no hassle of what to pack for the trip; just grab a pair of sunglasses, a set of headphones (the aviation kind), and away we went. How did catcalling become a thing and why on earth is it called that!?

It must have originated during the time of cavemen because only then would a grunt be considered a come-on. Think about it… One of the most used catcalls is a simple, ‘Hey!’- one syllable.
