I was itching for a new adventure to round out 2019 and decided Philadelphia was as good a city as any. But what exactly makes a city ripe for exploration you ask?
- Is it easy to get to and travel around without too much issue?
- Does it have a bucket list food item on it?
Not sure what a bucket list food item is? Something like pizza in New York, a crepe in Paris, a full breakfast in England, or BBQ in Atlanta. So it’s only fitting to cross a
cheesesteak in Philly off the list.
I’m not one to rush through life. I like to look forward to things coming up and make it an overall experience rather than enjoying one day or one week whether it’s a holiday or a vacation, but I’m kind of struggling guys. Because Thanksgiving is so late this year I’m having to put off getting into the Christmas spirit and I’m not about suppressing my (or anyone else’s) fa-la-la-la-la. Continue reading
Seriously though. Where did all this hatred for Valentine’s Day come from!? Is it because you’re single? Is it because you’re cheap? Is it because you’re cynical? Is it because you hate chocolate (if this is the case, then you have a bigger issue)?
The 4th of July is my favorite holiday. I’m sure you don’t hear (read) that very often, but for me, it’s true. I love how it brings people together (and by people, obviously I mean us Americans). It’s the one day out of the year that we can put aside our differences- political, personal, et al- and enjoy the day for what it is; a celebration of freedom and of our country.
But that’s not even the best part. Continue reading
You guys! I’m finally doing it! I’m hopping on an airplane and headed to a far away land in less than a week! Me! Just a small town girl, 🎶 living in a lonely wooorrrld, took the midnight train…. ahem. Sorry. Got a little carried away. But seriously… I’m heading to England and France; places that I’ve only ever dreamt of visiting, and I’m so stinkin’ excited! Continue reading
As a hopeless romantic, I like the idea behind Valentine’s Day; one day of the year when lovers express their affection for one another by showering each other with gifts and expressing their adoration with kind gestures. What’s not to like!? But, this holiday is one full of controversy. Many believe that this day was created by so-called ‘greeting card’ companies, dubbing it a Hallmark Holiday; claiming that this day is only recognized as a way to generate business, and I say to those people… Who the fuck cares!? Continue reading
Ho ho ho BEXoxo goers! Merry Christmas! I thought I would change it up a bit this week seeing as it’s LESS THAN A WEEK ‘TIL CHRISTMAS!! I’ve seen The Christmas Tag circulating the blogasphere and thought I would participate. I hope it gets you in the Christmas spirit as much as it did for me! 😊
