The Start of Our Happily Ever After

Do you guys have one of those friends who is constantly getting hurt? The ones who shows up to lunch or work with their arm in a sling or hobbling with a limp and when you ask them what happened, they legitimately have no excuse? I am that friend.

Just last week my eye was bothering me one night. I took my contact out and went to bed. I woke up the next morning and my eye was still hurting and had become very red. I went to the doctor and they told me I had scratched my cornea and that I had a mild infection. But I didn’t do anything to it! Continue reading

Our Vows

Hey ya’ll! I’m a married woman now. Can you Belize it!? We’ve been back from our honeymoon in Belize for some time and have been enjoying our new life as Dr. and Mrs. Fella.

We’re still waiting on photos literally just received our photos from our photographer and need to go through them, but I didn’t want to leave you guys hanging, so I thought I’d share our vows. During our ceremony, Fella and I played rock/paper/scissors (best out of 3) to determine who went first. After a little strategizing with his best friend beforehand, Fella ended up winning; he was told to play rock every time. That little stinker!

My DIY Wedding

Sorry for the radio silence on my blog lately. As you all know I’m getting married soon (66 days!) so what free time I have has been dedicated to wedding prep, which is what I wanted to fill you guys in on.

If you read my last post, then you know that I am planning my wedding to be as frugal as possible while still getting what I want, so I’ve spent lots of time and energy either making my own decor or scouring the web for the best deals. Here’s what I have so far: Continue reading

Makin’ A List, Checkin’ It Twice

You thought I was talking about ol’ St. Nick, weren’t you? You know, not everything is about him this time of year…

I’m talking about yours truly!

I’ve finally started planning my wedding and boy is that a feat. Honestly, at the beginning, I didn’t even know where to start. My first thought was cake because that’s just who I am. My second thought was invitations, but I realized pretty quickly that I needed a when, where, and who for those.  Continue reading

You’re a Whore… Wanna Get Married?

I’m writing out my life in a timeline, so to experience my story the way its supposed to be told, start at I Was That Girl In School… then proceed chronologically by post date.

The day following Boyfriend and my breakup, I met up with the Bloke during lunch to fill in the blanks of what happened. After numerous apologies from him saying he felt guilty of what he had caused, I assured him that my relationship had been over way before the night prior; I was just too blind to see it.

He began to empathize with me, telling me that he and his wife had been rather distant and that he had wanted to talk to her about it, but couldn’t find the words. Continue reading

3 Day Quote Challenge: Day 2

I warned you: this one is going to be sappy.

If you have been keeping up with My Story, then you may not believe me when I say: I believe in love 100%. I love the idea of love. I’m a sucker for a good love story, so its no surprise that my 2nd quote comes from a romance movie (more commonly referred to as a chick-flick). But not just any romance movie; my favorite movie of all time! In an attempt at prolonging the inevitable, I will first tell you about said movie. Or rather, Google will tell you about it: Continue reading
