Eating Through My Bucket List

I was itching for a new adventure to round out 2019 and decided Philadelphia was as good a city as any. But what exactly makes a city ripe for exploration you ask?

  1. Is it easy to get to and travel around without too much issue?
  2. Does it have a bucket list food item on it?

Not sure what a bucket list food item is? Something like pizza in New York, a crepe in Paris, a full breakfast in England, or BBQ in Atlanta. So it’s only fitting to cross a cheesesteak in Philly off the list.

Getting Lost: An Art Form

I’m mainly speaking in the geographical sense…

It happens to the best of us. No, really! I’m blessed with an uncanny sense of direction; I have a 6th sense when it comes to figuring out my way and I’m rarely ever wrong. It helps to know that moss grows on the north side of whatever moss grows on (not that that tidbit of info helps in all situations)… Even when Fella and I traveled to England, I was still able to get us around without using our perpetually uncharged GPS. It’s a gift really.

Party Over Here!

Fella and I have officially completed 1 year of marriage. I cannot wrap my head around the fact that a year ago today I was enjoying my honeymoon in Belize. Take me back!

After a wedding there are 2 go-to questions on everyone’s minds: a) When are you having kids, and b) Has anything changed since getting married? (Or if you’re my slightly obnoxious aunt: where is my gosh darn thank you letter!?) As far as kids, that’s a hard pass; at least for now. But has anything changed in our relationship since our nuptials? No, not really. He’s still my best friend. He’s still a great dog daddy. He still contributes to

Adventure Is Out There!

I’ve made a recent realization that I’m an adventurer. I’ve always enjoyed traveling and participating in fun outings, but because those things didn’t happen very often for me (or so I thought…), I never considered myself worthy of the description. But after the past couple of weeks, I think I’ve earned the title.

What’s Wrong with a Little Water?

When I first started flying, I had my own personal pilot. My ex obtained his pilot’s license in the middle of our on-again-off-again relationship which meant free flights on the weekends to neighboring airports. It was fun to be able to hop on a plane and take off with no real destination in mind, no required hoops to jump through with TSA, and no hassle of what to pack for the trip; just grab a pair of sunglasses, a set of headphones (the aviation kind), and away we went. Honeymoon in Belize

Hi ya! It’s been a while. I’ve just been enjoying married life and working my little tail off at work leaving me not-so motivated to write. Such is life.

When I last shared, I posted a handful of pictures from our wedding. So the logical next post is honeymoon pics, no…? Continue reading

Spring Break 2018

Friday, March 2nd, 6:30am: I’m all packed for Kentucky! The dogs’ overnight bag is packed. Fella just needs to pack, we load up the car after work and hit the road to go visit our friend for a few days. I’m so ready for a mini vacation.

Friday, 8:20ish am: I get a text from Fella: “Kentucky friend/host has strep.” Well fuck! The last thing he needs is visitors and the last thing I want on my mini vacay is strep! Guess our trip is cancelled. Continue reading

Confirmed: I am NOT a City Girl

Ya’ll! I made it to the Big Apple! I didn’t see an apple anywhere, so I don’t find it aptly named, but that’s neither here nor there.

For those of you who are new (hi, hello), I am by no means a city girl. I was born and raised in a small town where the livestock population outnumbered the human residence. I learned how to drive a tractor when I was 8. What business does an 8 year old have driving a tractor I hear you ask…? My friend’s grandparents needed my friend and me to put up a fence for their llamas… duh! Continue reading

BEXoxo Does Atlanta

It still baffles me that I’ve been to London and Paris before I made it to the big cities here in the states; even the ones that are within driving distance!

Recently, Fella and I whisked off to Atlanta for a weekend getaway and my first taste of the ATL.

I feel like I should share a tid-bit about us before we continue. We’re football fans, and by football, I mean American football. I’m totally one of those girls who screams expletives at the television screen when ‘my boys’ aren’t performing well and Continue reading

Cheers, England.

We woke up Friday morning to an overcast sky and drizzle; typical weather in England, but a first of our trip. Fella had arranged, the day prior, for us to meet up with his mom one last time before we made our way south. We packed everything up, dropped our cases at the car, and headed to the infamous York Wall to kill a bit of time. Continue reading
