Hi ya! It’s been a while. I’ve just been enjoying married life and working my little tail off at work leaving me not-so motivated to write. Such is life.
When I last shared, I posted a handful of pictures from our wedding. So the logical next post is honeymoon pics, no…? Continue reading
Ya’ll! I made it to the Big Apple! I didn’t see an apple anywhere, so I don’t find it aptly named, but that’s neither here nor there.
For those of you who are new (hi, hello), I am by no means a city girl. I was born and raised in a small town where the livestock population outnumbered the human residence. I learned how to drive a tractor when I was 8. What business does an 8 year old have driving a tractor I hear you ask…? My friend’s grandparents needed my friend and me to put up a fence for their llamas… duh! Continue reading
We woke up Friday morning to an overcast sky and drizzle; typical weather in England, but a first of our trip. Fella had arranged, the day prior, for us to meet up with his mom one last time before we made our way south. We packed everything up, dropped our cases at the car, and headed to the infamous York Wall to kill a bit of time. Continue reading
I’m a planner. I like to have a set itinerary. I like to have an idea of where and when I’m supposed to be somewhere, especially on a trip away from home. But you know what? I’m starting to get over that idiosyncrasy. Not that I don’t believe in the power of a well thought out plan. Its just… I hate when things don’t go accordingly. I tend to work myself up expecting a certain outcome, and when it doesn’t happen, even if I have no control over the situation, I become upset. Not in a distraught fashion; it’s more of a depressive state. As a result, my mentality has shifted. Why set myself up for the possibility of being let down? I have taken on more of a ‘go with the flow’ disposition. Continue reading
Our train from London to Paris departed at 9:10am, which, if Fella hadn’t checked the tickets the night before, we would have missed because for some strange reason, we were both adamant that it was at 12 noon. This all meant that we had to be up-and-atum earlier than originally planned. Poop. Oh well. It also meant: More time in Paris! Continue reading
As I alluded to in Reaching Puddle Jumping Status, I’ve never considered myself a traveler. Not that I believed it was impossible… It was more a fear of the unknown; different cultures, different food, different languages, different normalcy to everyday life. I was happy in my own little corner of the world. Sure there were destinations sitting on the bottom of my bucket list waiting to be checked of, but Continue reading
You guys! I’m finally doing it! I’m hopping on an airplane and headed to a far away land in less than a week! Me! Just a small town girl, 🎶 living in a lonely wooorrrld, took the midnight train…. ahem. Sorry. Got a little carried away. But seriously… I’m heading to England and France; places that I’ve only ever dreamt of visiting, and I’m so stinkin’ excited! Continue reading
