Hi ya! It’s been a while. I’ve just been enjoying married life and working my little tail off at work leaving me not-so motivated to write. Such is life.

My Wedding Eve

This post is for those of you who want the low-down on the not-so-great events leading up to my wedding day.

The Friday before the big day, I spent the day with my mom running around doing last minute wedding prep: getting our nails done, searching for bubbles, finding the perfect birthday cupcake for one of our guests, and picking up the flowers I would use to make my centerpieces. Nothing about the day was supposed to be stressful… 

The Start of Our Happily Ever After

Do you guys have one of those friends who is constantly getting hurt? The ones who shows up to lunch or work with their arm in a sling or hobbling with a limp and when you ask them what happened, they legitimately have no excuse? I am that friend.

Just last week my eye was bothering me one night. I took my contact out and went to bed. I woke up the next morning and my eye was still hurting and had become very red. I went to the doctor and they told me I had scratched my cornea and that I had a mild infection. But I didn’t do anything to it!

Our Vows

Hey ya’ll! I’m a married woman now. Can you Belize it!? We’ve been back from our honeymoon in Belize for some time and have been enjoying our new life as Dr. and Mrs. Fella.

We’re still waiting on photos literally just received our photos from our photographer and need to go through them, but I didn’t want to leave you guys hanging, so I thought I’d share our vows. During our ceremony, Fella and I played rock/paper/scissors (best out of 3) to determine who went first. After a little strategizing with his best friend beforehand, Fella ended up winning; he was told to play rock every time. That little stinker!

What am I doing in the time leading up to my wedding? Well I’m currently at work typing up this post because it’s the second to last full day of work before my wedding… can anyone really expect a whole lot of progress out of me? I think not.

We’re in the home stretch!

We have just under 6 weeks until the wedding, and I’m not sure I could be any more excited than I am now.

So what am I up to at this stage in the planning process?

I’m still working on some signage, particularly the bar menu and the sign to be displayed next to our wedding favors.

My Wedding Weight Loss Journey

Along with making decorations for my wedding and spending hours online finding things for my big day, I’ve been focusing on myself (another reason I have been a bit MIA).

When Fella and I got engaged last summer, I was in the middle of one of my many health/fitness kicks. You know the ones: eat nothing but salads and fresh fruits, drink water, and exercise for all of a week or two, then suddenly stop. I have been through many of these cycles, but since I had my wedding to keep me motivated, I decided I was actually going to make a change.
