Bloggers Are People Too (Who Knew!?)

I’ve made an immense amount of connections on WordPress and an awful lot of friends I might add; friends from all over the world, which I’m rather proud of. My favorite part of blogging has easily been the friendships I’ve made via comments, follows, and likes. I look forward to the remarks made on my posts (which have become sporadic- sorry) and interacting with people on theirs. For me, blogging isn’t about the numbers. Sure, it’s cool that 800+ people (supposedly) follow along and are curious about me and what I have to say, but in all honestly, the handful of followers that I have now, especially the ones who make an effort to interact with me, are enough. Party Over Here!

Fella and I have officially completed 1 year of marriage. I cannot wrap my head around the fact that a year ago today I was enjoying my honeymoon in Belize. Take me back!

After a wedding there are 2 go-to questions on everyone’s minds: a) When are you having kids, and b) Has anything changed since getting married? (Or if you’re my slightly obnoxious aunt: where is my gosh darn thank you letter!?) As far as kids, that’s a hard pass; at least for now. But has anything changed in our relationship since our nuptials? No, not really. He’s still my best friend. He’s still a great dog daddy. He still contributes to

We Get It – You Hate February 14th!

Seriously though. Where did all this hatred for Valentine’s Day come from!? Is it because you’re single? Is it because you’re cheap? Is it because you’re cynical? Is it because you hate chocolate (if this is the case, then you have a bigger issue)?

Next Time On The Real Housewives…

I tell people I’m a reality blogger because I don’t like the term “lifestyle blogger.” I don’t mean it in a “put things into the universe if you want them to come to be” type way. But lately it feels as though I’m living my own version of The Real Housewives. Not that I have drama in my life personally (thank you universe), but some of my friends are being put through the ringer. Continue reading

Honeymoon in Belize

Hi ya! It’s been a while. I’ve just been enjoying married life and working my little tail off at work leaving me not-so motivated to write. Such is life.

When I last shared, I posted a handful of pictures from our wedding. So the logical next post is honeymoon pics, no…? Continue reading

My Wedding Eve

This post is for those of you who want the low-down on the not-so-great events leading up to my wedding day.

The Friday before the big day, I spent the day with my mom running around doing last minute wedding prep: getting our nails done, searching for bubbles, finding the perfect birthday cupcake for one of our guests, and picking up the flowers I would use to make my centerpieces. Nothing about the day was supposed to be stressful…  Continue reading

The Start of Our Happily Ever After

Do you guys have one of those friends who is constantly getting hurt? The ones who shows up to lunch or work with their arm in a sling or hobbling with a limp and when you ask them what happened, they legitimately have no excuse? I am that friend.

Just last week my eye was bothering me one night. I took my contact out and went to bed. I woke up the next morning and my eye was still hurting and had become very red. I went to the doctor and they told me I had scratched my cornea and that I had a mild infection. But I didn’t do anything to it! Continue reading

Our Vows

Hey ya’ll! I’m a married woman now. Can you Belize it!? We’ve been back from our honeymoon in Belize for some time and have been enjoying our new life as Dr. and Mrs. Fella.

We’re still waiting on photos literally just received our photos from our photographer and need to go through them, but I didn’t want to leave you guys hanging, so I thought I’d share our vows. During our ceremony, Fella and I played rock/paper/scissors (best out of 3) to determine who went first. After a little strategizing with his best friend beforehand, Fella ended up winning; he was told to play rock every time. That little stinker!

Bridal Banter

We’re in the home stretch!

We have just under 6 weeks until the wedding, and I’m not sure I could be any more excited than I am now.

So what am I up to at this stage in the planning process?

I’m still working on some signage, particularly the bar menu and the sign to be displayed next to our wedding favors. Continue reading
